The Grapes canvas: sound objects follow trajectories in spherical space

About the session

Most spatial work still happens under time pressure in the venue, with the clock running and the room already full. It does not have to. This session shows how object automation can be built and rehearsed long before load‑in, then transferred into a TiMax show and refined on site.

We will walk through Grapes 2, available as a VST3 plugin and as a standalone application, and show how it works alongside TiMax Spatial across a full production. Live demo with screen sharing, then Q&A with specialists from both sides. Everyone attending live receives a discount released during the session.

Topics covered

  • Connecting Grapes and TiMax Spatial
  • Pre‑production: authoring object movement on a timeline before you reach the venue
  • Building and managing trajectories, scenes and cues
  • Transferring a programmed show into TiMax and refining it on site
  • Case study: the Vache Baroque opera, pre‑programmed in Grapes
  • Production workflows for theatre, opera and live events
